In the good old days of Hollywood,
a star was never seen in public not looking every inch “The
Star”; hair done, bejewelled, fur-bedecked, designer-gowned.
In short, fabulous. Some female stars refused to be photographed
wearing pants, let alone without makeup! Even lesser mortals
dressed with care. Flash-forward 60 or so years. How many
pictures of an acne-encrusted, skanky shorts-wearing, trucker
hat-sporting, greasy-haired Brittney Spears have you seen
in the last 6 months?
Contrast those pictures with the miracles in airbrushing we’ve
seen on her fansites. Or for a more extreme example, may I
offer our readers two little words: Lil Kim. I think our point
is made. For your viewing enjoyment, ample proof that, contrary
to what his publicist would have us believe, the Emperor 'Celebrity'
is wearing no clothes.
